Netanya, on Israel's central coastal plain, became home to Kiryat Sanz — a Sanz-Klausenburg Hasidic neighborhood founded by R. Yekutiel Yehuda Halberstam in 1956. Laniado Hospital, also founded by him, is the dynasty's central institution. Kiryat Sanz remains the global Sanz-Klausenburg headquarters.
